Here’s the fifth issue of our studio’s quarterly newsletter featuring
successful projects for inspiring clients last quarter. Enjoy!
Gitane Restaurant and Bar
Named after the freewheeling gypsy, Gitane is a modern, funky, and artistically bold
new restaurant coming to San Francisco’s Claude Lane. The Euro-themed 50’s, hippie-driven 60’s, and big bling 70’s interior design give the space a traditional yet modern, eclectic feel.
Barretto-Co. collaborated with restaurateur Franck LeClerc, and
Charles Doell of Mr. Important Design, and was responsible for the restaurant identity, outdoor signage, facade, menus, uniforms, and interior graphics.
ELDR is a media company which seeks to inspire the influential 60-plus audience to celebrate the joys, navigate the challenges and discover the meaning of aging.
ELDR brings an enlightened, entertaining and sometimes edgy approach to aging through its reviews, articles and interviews, dynamic photo-graphy and artwork. Regular columns include ELDR Travel, ELDR Yoga and ELDR Tech. We also feature regular stories on grandparenting, caregiving, and staying mentally sharp, among others. ELDR offers fresh viewpoints on social issues and new ideas on health, fitness, finances and activism.
Women’s Community Clinic
The Women’s Community Clinic is the only free clinic for women in San Francisco. The mission of the Clinic is to improve the health and well-being of all women. The Clinic provides free health care for uninsured and under-insured women by women in a safe, respectful environment.
Barretto-Co. collaborated with founder Carlina Hansen, communications director Anne Purdy, and consultant Amanda Lee to successfully refresh the Clinic’s brand in anticipation of a major organizational shift. We are honored to be a part of The Clinic's broader mission.
WestSphere
Planet Wine is a distributor of wines from around the world, selling mostly to distrib-utors and restaurants in the Bay Area and beyond. We were approached to create a new “brand” called WestSphere.
Our strategic solution was to create a sub-brand for WestSphere called The 5ive Russians, supported by the master brand WestSphere. This brand strategy allows WestSphere to sub-brand many lines of products from different regions across the globe as they expand their business objectives.
All illustrations were executed in-house by us.
Lamar Snowboards
Seeking to expand the range of industries we work with, we introduced ourselves to Lamar Snowboards at the SnowSports Industries America tradeshow in Las Vegas.
We executed these three board designs in one day to demonstrate our versatility and understanding of the market audience.
Miscellaneous
We also helped launch a few smaller brand initiatives last quarter in addition to helping our neighbors in southern California who suffered great loss in the wildfires.
